This week I am thankful for:
A local community who watches out for each other whether it be sharing road advisories during our recent crazy weather and subsequent flooding, to keeping an eye out for each other's children (parents often know the "doings" of their children before the children return home ha!), to making sure your delivered packages remain on your porch until you can retrieve them.
Peppermint M&M's - a delicious delight for the taste buds!
The fund raisers, bell ringers, family adopters who make sure families are not in want.
Rain. Although it is in abundance right now (praying for those who would be in harm's way), it was much needed after a summer of drought. Also grateful for the snow in the mountains as the snow pack was dreadful last year.
Tiny, white, twinkling lights on a green tree. They just set a mood don't they?
THIS beautiful post by Alicia Bruxvoort (love her). "At the heart of this season filled with BIG expectations and flashy fanfare is a humble Savior who made himself small for us when we need him most." It is definitely worth clicking over to read.
A visiting chicken and her rooster friend who sometimes comes along. You may or may not remember that I am in want of some chicks around this place and a wayward wanderer has decided to take up temporary residence around here. She is so sweet and even comes up on the back porch to say hello. She still returns to her real home to roost at night (and her human mama knows of her sneaking over...) but I am enjoying her so much. I have treated her (and her male companion) to some lettuce. When I pulled in the driveway a couple days ago her owner followed me in to tell me that when I came driving by the chicken started crossing the road to follow me. "It was like she thought you had a treat for her." Well...maybe that IS why the chicken crossed the road!
What are you thankful for?
May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...
(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)
