Giving Thanks Friday
This week I am thankful for:
The home based medical transcription business I had the privilege of being a part of for over 15 years. The past few weeks (thus the lack of posting) I have been finishing up the final paperwork and tax forms to officially close the business. Due to changes in the enconomy and healthcare system transcription is going the way of the dinosaur. I am SO thankful for the doctors, nurses and office staffs of the clinic's I was associated with. I am also grateful for the wonderful friend who job shared with me as our workload grew. I am thankful for the knowledge base of facts, medical terms and medications that will swirl in my head for a long time to come. Very grateful to have been a small part of a field that helps so many.
The coupon blogs and money saving posts that have helped us save over $50 these past two weeks! (It's been a while since we have been a one income family.)
More time to be with those I love and more time to bring my creative side to the surface again. Oh yeah! (I do have to note that I didn't eat paste as a child...so my creativity may be somewhat limited.)
Faith that though I don't know just what the future holds, I know Who holds my future. Now that is something to be thankful for!
What are you thankful for?
May your weekend be filled with many reasons to give thanks!

I love your positive outlook on life, Mindy. It's how we face adversity in life that defines us and you are to be admired. I look forward to coming here to visit because you always inspire me. Thank you and good luck with the next chapter of your work life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robyn - you are so sweet!
DeleteDo you think if I started eating paste right now, by the time I'm your age I will be creative? ;) Love you Mother!
ReplyDeleteYou are both funny AND creative! You didn't eat paste but you were known to have eaten a dog treat or two :) Love you back daughter!
