Giving Thanks Friday
This week I am thankful for:
A much needed haircut and a daughter with the mad skills to do it for me!
New friends and old. It's fun getting to know new people but I treasure those long-time, tried and true friendships.
Warm muffins fresh from the oven on a cool October morning. Paired with a steaming mug of tea, it is the loveliest of ways to start the day.
A thrift store shopping find and a husband who shares my vision (and talent) to make it into something useful for our home.
The ethereal fog that has greeted our mornings and the brilliant moon that has provided the perfect nightlight in the evenings.
God's unconditional love and those who so easily distribute the same.
What are you thankful for?
May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...
(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

I love the way you write, Mindy! It's so heartfelt, engaging and just plain fun!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that it's Thanksgiving, lol.
I am thankful for friends and family that will be here to celebrate the holiday.
I am thankful I'm not cooking the turkey this year!
I am thankful for Canada's national sport because it brings us all together. We'll be spending a lot of time in hockey arenas over the coming months.
I am thankful for the funny and touching memory of one Thanksgiving when we did our traditional thanks at the table - each person saying what they were grateful for. There were thanks for health, family, the latest Steelers win (that was me, lol) and then my little 4 year old nephew was asked and he said, "I am thankful for God". The room was very quiet but we all had the biggest smiles.
Love your list! And again, Happy Thanksgiving : )
DeleteLovely, Mindy! I am thankful for the incredible talent with which God has gifted the young people of our church. At the local high school talent show last evening three of our youth performed and they were the awesomest of the awesome!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend, Mindy! Have fun repurposing your thrift store find!
Love seeing young people using their talents! Our project is nearing completion : )
DeleteHi Mindy, such a lovely post. I love your way of thinking and giving thanks. Hope your weekend is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Linda - enjoy your weekend!
DeleteHi Mindy! I really love your prayer for us all. Laced with peace and bursting with love...that is just beautiful. I hope your weekend was wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI was thankful to see the lunar eclipse last week. I got up twice to see it. I saw the first phase, and then the complete eclipse. They call it the 'Blood Moon', but it looked more like a deep rust color to me. Nature is such a beautiful reflection of it's Maker, isn't it?
Blessings,
Ceil
The weather here was too foggy to see the eclipse although I tried. Glad you got to see it! Your book should be delivered today according to the tracking. Enjoy!
DeleteI am thankful for so many things! Today, I am especially grateful for a very creative granddaughter who has started sending a daily email to members of our family....and she is only 10!
ReplyDeleteLove that your granddaughter does this! My best friend and I had a newspaper for a while that we (dating ourselves...) typed on a typewriter upstairs in her Grandma's house. Such fun...
DeleteOkay you look way too young to have a daughter old enough to cut your hair! I'm thankful for the crisp air I felt today and for the provision of God in our car repairs (covered under a recall) and for a day off school so we could hang out as a family. Nice to meet you over here on your turf.
ReplyDeleteWay to make a girls week : ) Days off school are the best!
