This little light
It's still there.
This little light of mine...
I know it is,
for it keeps my heart warm.
I'm gonna let it shine...
And in the darkest of days,
the blackest of nights,
it shines to remind me
This little light of mine...
I am never alone,
I'm gonna let it shine...
for God is with me.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
In this world of dark
Hide it under a bushel, no...
we need to be reminders,
I'm gonna let it shine...
encouragers,
Hide it under a bushel, no...
light bearers,
I'm gonna let it shine...
holding high the flame of Love.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!

And you do exactly that, Mindy! The light of Jesus is shining through you for all the world to see. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Mindy! What a beautiful image of the candlelight. It's so peaceful. And your study on the very familiar words just warms my heart. You keep that light burning my friend. We can all see it in your words and faith.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ceil
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and timely post with us, Mindy. I am hosting a Youth Night in our community this evening and I will be talking to the kids about this very subject of letting our lights so shine that we might glorify our God in heaven. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteA truly beautiful post, Mindy.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend and Thanksgiving Day!
Light as encouragers, light bearers, living reminders, shining light into the places that are dark, reminders of the One who is Light. Beautiful Mindy.
ReplyDeleteYou always find such powerful ways to express yourself, Mindy. This is so beautiful and such an important reminder. You touch so many people in your own special way. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, my fabulous friend.
ReplyDeleteHello Mindy, This post touched my heart. I have never grown out of that being one of my very favorite songs. A song for children, they might say, no, a song for all of us. I love how you put it into deep context. I am your newest follwer and I would be honored if you visited my blog and maybe followed me back. I have been blogging for around three years and it has become such a rewarding part of my day. It has helped me to see that women all over the world believe in God, family and community. We are the caregivers . . . a very important post to hold:)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week and Happy Thanksgiving.
Your new blogging sister,
Connie :)
