Giving Thanks Friday
This week I am thankful for:
A rare Monday off work for my husband, a seafood lunch out after grocery shopping AND it was 60 degrees out - in January! (Really three things all in one day to be thankful for - a jackpot of days!)
Our local tire store FINALLY getting online bill pay. They were the one last holdout and I would always have to plan to drop off the payment in person and was even late once...thankful they climbed on board with technology (grin).
The enthusiastic and overwhelming church and community support for a wonderful local woman recently diagnosed with breast cancer. So many prayers being prayed for her...
A special ring given to me by my mother in law (one of the strongest women I know). I like to wear it when I am facing something difficult as a reminder to lean in to Jesus and trust His ways as she does.
Kitchen grown sprouts (alfalfa etc combination). They elevate the lowly tuna sandwich into a wonder!
A flock of seagulls bathing in the flooded field amidst the sunshine. A nice bit of the beach come closer our way.

Hi Mindy! Love that trifecta you had on Monday! And you know, maybe someone else would have thought those things weren't all that exciting, but because you know where it all comes from, you have joy from it! That's the way I want to live too.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful this week for confirmation coming my way from so many different places that a talk I'm preparing has a great focus. I'm really hoping it makes an impact, so the little hints that I'm on the right track is really great.
Happy Valentine's Day this weekend for you and your hubby!!

Happy Valentine's Day, Mindy! I am soooooooo very thankful for my husband. He is a gift extraordinaire! For our cat, Watson, who I have no doubt God brought into my life. For folks who stand in the gap between us and God when our own bridge feels rickety.
ReplyDeleteThankfuls:

I love sprouts on my tuna sandwich, Mindy, and I add yogurt, apple, tomato, celery, green onions and then turn it into a tuna melt. It's so yummy! It sounds like life is wonderfully peaceful for you, my friend. Happy Anniversary and Happy Valentine's Day! I know your day will be special :)
ReplyDeleteHi Mindy, love your giving thanks-friday. It's nice to take the time and think about all the great things we have going on in our lives, there is so much to be thankful for. Will be trying your sprouting methods, I am on a sprout spree right now, putting them on and in everything. Take care!
ReplyDeleteMindy, such a lovely post. Giving thanks is always a nice gesture. Happy Valentine's day.

My girls have been growing sprouts, and we're really enjoying them.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful list of gratitudes.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had sprouts in almost 20 years now. I used to really love them.
